Platform Maturity Assessment

Like many posts on this blog, it's my thoughts at the time - Potentially even unedited before the video completes.

Challenges

  1. No dedicated platform team (lack of investment)
  2. No focus on developer productivity (lack of investment & interface)
  3. Low platform adoption (lack of adoption)
  4. Building the wrong features (operational immaturity)
  5. No proof of value (unable to measure)

Running the tool

Having ran the tool against the parameters for my current workplace, I can say it’s a great tool for assessing your platform maturity (does what it says on the tin!).

We’ve often struggled to pin ourselves to a maturity level, often floating between medium levels. This actually helps us clarify that and provide a clearer path for our gaps. I’ll be sharing this one!
